The author of "History of the Standard Oil Company". Hailing from Northwestern Pennsylvania,after recieving her BA and Master degrees, Tarbell wrote for Chautauguan magazine exposing businessmen such as John D. Rockefeller.Upton Sinclair the author of "The Jungle" who took a stand on the Meatpacking industry.
